Due to the growth of the business, we’re delighted to be recruiting for a Level 3 Engineering Design and Draftsperson Apprentice.
We’re seeking an eager, attentive, problem solver to start their design career with us. We are offering the right candidate an opportunity to earn and learn with White Horse CAD.
The apprentice with work on designs for new products and make improvements to existing ones. Equipped with the latest technology and a mentor with over 35 years of experience in the industry, the apprentice will gain valuable hands-on experience including:
- Supporting our product design services from concept sketch through to manufacturing-ready drawings
- CAD support to National Businesses
- 3D CAD
- 2D CAD (Including architectural support)
- 3D Scanning of small parts for reverse engineering
- Photo realistic renders and animations
The role will involve working with clients from a broad range of sectors including Medical, Scientific, Electrical, Energy, and Consumer Products. As we deliver all our services in-house, it’s a great opportunity to learn the different aspects of Mechanical Engineering and Product Design. The training and qualifications include:
Foundation Level 2 Competence Workshops CAD
BTEC AME Level 3 Diploma
NVQ Level 3 in Technical Drawing
End Point Assessment
The apprentice will join a professional, friendly team in the office at Heywood House near Westbury. Perks include an on-site café, free parking, and bike storage. The hours are 37 per week and an annual salary of £9,620.00. On completion of the apprenticeship, our intention is to offer a permanent position here at White Horse CAD.
