White Horse CAD – celebrating 5 years in business
Thank you to everyone who supports White Horse CAD and has helped us reach our fifth birthday this week!
Since starting in 2017, the business has grown, and we now provide mechanical design services, including photo quality renders and animations, 3D scanning, 3D printing, large format plotting, and more. We help clients achieve their design requirements and to date, we have completed:
- 327 projects
- 12079 parts models
- 2902 assembly models
- 6549 engineering drawings
Owning White Horse CAD is a learning curve, and a lot has changed from the early days when it was just me, a laptop, and a virtual office in Trowbridge. We now have an office in the beautiful Heywood House, Liz joined in 2020 as an administrator, and we are hiring a full-time trainee design engineer.
CAD expertise and experience
Reflecting on my early career, I can honestly say I have traveled further than I ever thought possible. From 1986 as trainee sheet metal worker to a business owner has been a fantastic journey.
Who would have thought way back in the mid-1980s that an overopinionated teen would one day be a highly respected design engineer designing everything from kitchen knives to ground-breaking hip joints and surgical instruments?
Like the Queen, White Horse CAD celebrates two birthdays a year. We were incorporated on 28th June 2017 and began trading on15th August 2017, on what would have been my mum’s 74th birthday. Two very special days, one saw me realise my lifelong dream of owning a company, and the other saw that dream take its first tentative steps into the world.
